P&P makes charitable donations to PC
P&P INSURANCE Brokers and Consultants Limited, in King Street, Georgetown, has presented a computer with UPS and voltage stabiliser to President’s College (PC).
The business place last Friday also donated $100,000 each to the Government Technical Institute (GTI) and the National Library.
Mr Lincoln Basdeo, Secretary to the Board of Governors, received the gift on behalf of PC from P&P Managing Director, Mr Bish Panday.
The latter said the presentation was in response to a letter in the press lamenting the inadequacy of computers at the institution.
“President’s College has in its midst some of our brightest students and it is important that we give them the tools to realise their full potential,â€Panday said.
The Principal, Mr Patrick Chinedu accepted the money for GTI and Ms Jacklyn Williams, Administrative Officer, represented the Library.
Regarding the monetary contributions, Panday said P&P, as a good corporate citizen, recognises its social responsibility and, in addition to sponsoring sporting activities, donates to charitable causes.
According to him, the firm also feels it has an obligation to help educational institutions in this country.
